About the Designer
Owner/Designer, Nettie Tiso, is an experienced garment industry professional and graduate of NYC's Fashion Institute of Technology. She works mainly in Couture and High-End Apparel markets, specializing in womens and mens contemporary and avant garde clothing, as well as print design and screen printing. She has worked for a variety of designers and companies, but is most known for releasing limited edition collections of her own.
Nettie owns and operates a full production Screen Printing company that originated 4 years ago in Austin, Texas before relocating to Ann Arbor, MI. In Austin, her studio was featured on the East Austin Studio Tour and her work was recognized for unique print style and quality craftsmanship (see link to PBS interview below). The Michigan native also offers Alterations and Custom Clothing Design.
Awards & Such.
2006- At the Fusion Fashion Show in NYC, Tiso received the 'Fusion Award' from a panel of fashion industry professionals- including Tim Gunn. The next year she was appointed to Fashion Show Coordinator, leading her team of 15 designers from F.I.T. to a Win over the Parsons School of Design team.

Tiso and her designs have been featured on PBS, and in Time Out NY Magazine, The Detroit MetroTimes, The Detroit Free Press, Working Class Magazine, Clam Magazine, W25 Magazine, and Venus Zine, among other publications.
Long before her formal fashion design training, she was a self-taught seamstress, and attributes much of her know-how and problem-solving abilities to the challenges and discoveries associated with that method.
